Bowling

Hannah has been asking us for a while to go bowling, and we were never able to go...until this weekend. We all three had a four-day weekend, which gave us plenty of time to spend together! She had no clue where we were going or what we were doing, but as you can tell in the next picture, she was super excited to be bowling...

This picture was taken when we first got there...all smiles! :)

How ugly are bowling shoes?!?! Just ridiculous! Mine didn't even have the same colored shoe strings!!

Look at that technique...wonder who taught her?

Hannah and her pretty eyes!

After going in the gutter a few times, Daddy stepped in and saved the day...where was he when I was getting all the gutter balls?!?

Scott won both games, however, Hannah and I were pretty close to being tied for 2nd place! Not bad, huh?! We had a great time, and laughed a lot!!

Easter 2009

Here is a long picture post to fill you in on a little of what happened at our house this weekend...

Hannah and I went to see the new Hannah Montana movie last Friday. We returned home from the movie and dinner, and Hannah had a surprise from Mimi waiting on her.

Once we finally got everything out of the package, she was very happy to see what was inside!

"A PINK BASEBALL GLOVE!!!" I am pretty sure Mimi could have heard her scream all the way in Jackson. She was extremely excited!!

And a bat...

and ball!!

Later that day we made Easter cookies. Hannah was very precise when cutting out the shapes.

Here are our cookies before we baked them.

We decorated them with icing and sprinkles.

Here are 9 of our decorated cookies. I think we did a good job!

Saturday Hannah helped Scott work outside. That night, we grilled steaks. Scott decided to go get some crawfish while the steaks were cooking. Hannah and I were grossed out by them, but he enjoyed them (so did Eli!)

EASTER SUNDAY

Sunday morning the Easter Bunny left a surprise for Hannah.

I know, you are thinking, this is not a typical gift for a 10-year-old girl, so let me explain...Hannah wanted a tool set for Christmas so she could help her dad work around the house...apparently Santa did not get the memo, but the Easter Bunny took care of it!

Scott helped Hannah dye the eggs.

I like this picture simply because it is both father and daughter's hands...just sweet to me.

Scott helped for a little bit, but then decided to eat one...notice Hannah's expression! (She is thinking, that is one less egg that I get to dye, Dad!!)

We have had a blast this weekend!! However, I managed to NOT get a picture of Hannah with her Easter dress on!! Horrible, I know!!

Chicago

I haven't posted anything in quite a while. Hopefully I can get back to blogging regularly. For now I will put just a few of the many pictures I took while in Chicago.

This is a picture of Lake Michigan, which was taken from the Navy Pier.

We walked to the Navy Pier. This is just a picture I took along the way.

Random buildings, bridge, and construction "stuff".

Of course we had to go see the Sears Tower. We walked almost 7 miles (there and back) to see a really tall building...that is all it was. There were a few art exhibits inside, as well as businesses--but nothing we wanted to see. Of course, we could have paid to go up to the Observation Deck, but we opted out of that one!

The Lyric Opera House!! If you notice on the red banners, it says, DO RE MI FA SO LA SI DO...it really bothered me when it said SI, instead of TI...Apparently, it is the title of a Korean Musical based on a movie??

If you look closely, you can see me and my co-worker, Shauna.

Chicago is known for the deep dish style pizza. I have to say that words cannot quite describe this pizza! This stuff was fabulous! There were probably enough calories in one piece for the whole day--and one piece was more than enough to fill you up! Good thing we walked around a lot--and ate light the next two days!! If you go to Chicago, you must stop by Giordano's! It is a fabulous place to eat!

I went to a Chicago Bulls game against the Detroit Pistons! We actually rode in a stretch hummer, however I do not have any pictures from my camera. I will have to post some when I get them. As for the Bulls, I now have a favorite player...#13, Joakim Noah. I guess I chose him because he was the only one I could keep up with because of his hair. He was great at getting the rebounds. (Look at me sounding like I know what I am talking about!! I didn't have a clue! I clapped for the wrong team several times! Eventually I think I caught on--however, the majority of the game was spent talking, laughing, taking random pictures and just acting plain stupid! We had a great time though--Bulls won, 99 to 91!!)

Here I am with Bob Newhart as Robert Hartley.

Christmas at Mimi's

I know I am extremely far behind on posting pics.  These are from Christmas at Mimi's.

Jonah had me rolling...he had to unwrap each of his presents in a specific way...it was too cute!

Scott, of course, had to play with Hannah's Nerf Gun.

At this point, I think Jonah was just about to give out.  He was so somber.  He was told he couldn't open the cookies so he just sat quietly, but of course, Uncle Scott eventually opened them for him despite his mother's request...

Hannah loves her cousin!

Santa has arrived!

Santa had an interesting adventure Christmas Eve!  After several phone calls, Rudolph's hurt paw, too much noise in the house, a little girl not wanting to go to sleep, etc...Santa's departure was slightly delayed!  He finally came and left Hannah with more presents than I have seen!!

He left some presents wrapped up by the tree...

The others were left in various places around the house with clues for Hannah to find them...

Uncle Al helped Hannah figure out where the next clue would lead her...

Yes, he even hid one of her presents in the bathtub!  It was a Baby Alive doll that actually pees and poops!  Very humorous of Santa!

This one got out of order, but Hannah was playing her Baby Alive doll and oops...Mandy (I think that is what she decided to name the doll) made a mess!! :)

So, she changed clothes and went right back to playing with her baby.

We went to the Apple store on Christmas Eve because Scott wanted to look around.  When we walked in Hannah saw the lime green Nano Ipod...she instantly said I want one!!  Well, she left a note to Santa that if he had any extras, she really wanted one...He did leave one for her...I have a feeling Santa knew she wanted the Nano before the letter though!
